The guild

What is Gilde?

A guild for the age of AI craftsmanship. A community for people who want to master both the technical craft of working with AI and the human craft of using it well. We run cohort courses where every AI course is paired one to one with a human course. Founded in 2026 as an Ngrane initiative. Rooted in Amsterdam. Open to the world.

Who is Gilde for?

Craftspeople at any stage. People building with Claude and other AI tools who know that technical skill alone is not enough. Leerling (apprentice) is the entry tier for everyone, regardless of background.

# link

Is Gilde a course, a community, or a marketplace?

All three, and one. The community is the through line. Courses are how we teach. The marketplace is where members exchange skills and find experts.

The two crafts

Why two crafts, not one?

Because the more AI you master, the more human you need to be. Technical scale without human craft produces exactly the future we are afraid of. Gilde refuses that trade. Ethics, collaboration, and teaching are prerequisite to mastery, not footnotes.

What is AI Craft in practice?

Prompting as a discipline. Agent orchestration. Skills.md authoring. Claude Code and Agent SDK mastery. Tool integration. Evaluation harnesses. Building systems that agents run.

# link

What is Human Craft in practice?

Interpersonal skill and communication. Collaboration with humans and agents. Ethics and responsibility. Teaching and mentorship. Systems thinking. Integrity, trust, judgment.

# link

What does one AI course, one human course actually mean?

For every technical course the guild ships, we pair it one to one with a human craft course. Advanced Prompting pairs with Listening. Agent Orchestration pairs with Collaborating With an Agent. Skills Authoring pairs with Mentoring a Junior. Evaluation pairs with the Ethics of Automation. Tier advancement requires progress on both pillars, not one.

Membership

How do I join?

Join the waitlist on the home page. We invite in cohorts. First cohort opens summer 2026 in Amsterdam. 100 founding seats.

# link

What does it cost?

First cohort pricing is in design. Expect a range that reflects real commitment without gating out craftspeople. Scholarship seats are part of our ongoing Anthropic partnership conversation.

# link

Is it in person or online?

Rooted in Amsterdam. Online first with physical gatherings, workshops, and ethics salons in the city. We grow the in person footprint after cohort one.

# link

What languages does the guild work in?

Dutch and English, equal weight. Site, materials, cohorts, and community are bilingual by design.

Tiers and advancement

What are Leerling, Gezel, Gildemeester?

Old guild words for apprentice, journeyman, master. Every member starts as Leerling. Gezel unlocks at AI Craft 40 and Human Craft 40, plus at least one published skill and one received peer endorsement. Gildemeester unlocks at AI Craft 80 and Human Craft 80, plus mentoring a member who advanced a tier under your care.

# link

How do I move the levels up?

Do the craft. Publish skills.md, post project briefs, earn peer endorsements, mentor juniors, attend ethics salons. Every meaningful action bumps your craft levels and can earn you a mark.

# link

Can I lose a tier?

No. Marks and tiers are durable. Once earned, they stay.

# link

What are marks?

Wax seal style achievements stamped on your register for concrete actions. First Skill, First Brief, Endorsed, Perfect Balance, Mentor's Mark, Anvil Hour, Cohort Builder. Some unlock rights, all carry honor.

# link

Marketplace

Who can publish skills.md?

Any signed in member. Publishing is instant. You can edit afterwards.

# link

Who moderates the marketplace?

v0 relies on community review and the honor of the guild. Once we grow past a few hundred, Gildemeester tier members take on moderation rotation.

# link

What counts as a skill?

A skill is a specific, reusable practice. A prompt pattern, an agent recipe, a teaching exercise, an evaluation method, a collaboration ritual. One pillar, one title, one tight body. Craft, not content.

Projects and expert matching

I have a Claude project. How do I find an expert?

Post a brief at /projects/new. Describe what you are building, what you have tried, and where you are stuck. Guild experts see it and reach out if it fits. The guild matches on technical fit and human fit both.

# link

Who are the experts?

Gezel and Gildemeester tier members who opted into mentoring. Their profiles show their craft dimensions, their endorsements, and their recent skills.

# link

Is expert help free?

You choose. Post a brief as pro bono, paid, or either. Experts self select.

# link

Is matching live today?

Brief posting is live. Automated matching goes live once cohort one opens. Until then, briefs are visible to all authenticated members and matches happen by member initiative.

Anthropic

What is Gilde's relationship to Anthropic?

Gilde applied to Anthropic's partnership program. We cleared the first review and are working toward round 2. Gilde teaches Claude native practice. Not a Claude reseller, a Claude first craft community.

# link

Can I use Gilde without using Claude?

The method is Claude first. The craft principles apply to any AI tool. We teach with Claude because it is the tool that best supports both AI craft and human craft in our experience.
